About Karen's Quilts and Creations
After sewing personal apparel and costumes for decades I stepped into the quilting world in 2005 and have loved the creativity of piecing and quilting ever since. I made my first T-shirt quilt in 2014 using shirts from my childhood and youth that my mom had stored away in her attic. Since that time I have made many other T-shirt quilts for my family and friends using shirts, shorts, jerseys, portions of baseball hats and patches. In 2023 I began learning free motion quilting and I now incorporate that in the baby quilts and other novelties I make. One Of A Kind (OOAK) quilts and novelties is all I make, no mass production of the same item...ever.
